Acne vulgaris - Management
Which scenario?
- Scenario: Diagnosis and assessment: covers the initial diagnosis and assessment of a person presenting with acne vulgaris.
- Scenario: Mild acne: covers the management of acne that consists mainly of non-inflammatory comedones. It is usually limited in its extent.
- Scenario: Moderate acne: covers the management of acne that consists of a mixture of non-inflammatory comedones and inflammatory papules and pustules. It may extend to the shoulders and back.
- Scenario: Severe acne: covers the management of acne that is characterized by nodules and cysts (nodulocystic acne), as well as a preponderance of inflammatory papules and pustules. It may be extensive.
