Contraception - Background information
How do the diaphragm and cervical cap prevent pregnancy?
- The diaphragm and cervical cap fit into the vagina to cover the cervix, thus excluding semen. They are used in conjunction with a spermicide, further reducing the likelihood of fertilization [SOGC, 2004; FFPRHC, 2007d].
