Eating disorders - Evidence
Supporting evidence

The evidence about treatments for eating disorders has not been reviewed in this CKS topic because decisions on the treatment of eating disorders are made by specialists in secondary care.

  • The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) commissioned the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health to develop their guideline on eating disorders. The evidence is summarized in Eating disorders: core interventions in the treatment and management of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and associated eating disorders, available at www.nice.org.uk [National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health, 2004].
