Heart failure - chronic - Management
Start AIIRA (cough with ACE inhibitor)
Age from 16 years onwards
Start losartan tablets: 12.5mg once a day
Losartan 25mg tablets
Take half a tablet once a day.
Supply 7 tablets.
Start valsartan capsules: 40mg twice a day
Valsartan 40mg capsules
Take one capsule twice a day.
Supply 28 capsules.
Age from 18 years onwards
Start candesartan tablets: 4mg once a day
Candesartan 4mg tablets
Take one tablet once a day.
Supply 14 tablets.
