Hepatitis A - Evidence
Supporting evidence
The evidence for the primary care interventions described in this CKS topic are based on expert opinion from national guidelines.
The rationale for the use of the hepatitis A vaccine is based on the guideline Immunisation against infectious disease (the 'Green Book'), published by the Department of Health, and available to download from www.dh.gov.uk (pdf). The evidence for the effectiveness of the vaccine is based mainly on observational and immunogenicity studies [DH, 2009a].
