Goals
- To recognize Lyme disease
- To make appropriate use of investigations
- To treat people with erythema migrans (with a history of a tick bite or possible exposure to ticks) appropriately in primary care
- To refer the person appropriately to a specialist
- To provide appropriate advice to people who have been bitten by a tick
- To provide appropriate advice for the prevention of tick bites
