Meniere's disease - Evidence
Evidence on diuretics in Meniere's disease
There is insufficient good quality evidence of the effect of diuretics on treating or preventing Meniere's disease symptoms.
- A Cochrane review (search date: December 2005) investigated the use of diuretics versus placebo in people with Meniere's disease [Thirlwall and Kundu, 2006].
- No trials of high enough quality were found to meet the inclusion criteria for this review.
- Note: seven studies were excluded from the review due to inappropriate study design or absence of randomization.
