What dose should I use?

  • Antidepressants are unlicensed for treating menopausal symptoms. However, the following dosages have been assessed and found to be effective for hot flushes in short-term studies:
    • Citalopram 20 mg daily.
    • Paroxetine 20 mg daily.
    • Fluoxetine 20 mg daily.
    • Venlafaxine 37.5 mg twice daily.
