Neck lump - Background information
Normal structures

  • Some people may be concerned that they have a neck lump, when in fact they have identified a normal part of the anatomy of the neck for the first time, for example:
    • Transverse process of C1 vertebra.
    • Hyoid bone.
    • Thyroid or cricoid cartilage.
