How should I manage a thyroglossal cyst?
- If a thyroglossal cyst is suspected, refer to an ear, nose, and throat specialist or to a thyroid surgeon, depending on local arrangements — thyroglossal cysts may become infected or cause breathing or swallowing problems and may require surgical excision.
