September 2010 — the choice of drug treatment for neuropathic pain has been updated in line with the NICE clinical guideline, Neuropathic pain. The pharmacological management of neuropathic pain in adults in non-specialist settings [NICE, 2010]. Issued in September 2010.

June 2010 to July 2010 — the advice on the management of breakthrough pain for people taking oral morphine has been updated. Issued in July 2010.

December 2008 to March 2009 — converted from PRODIGY guidance to CKS topic structure. The evidence-base has been reviewed in detail, and recommendations are more clearly justified and transparently linked to the supporting evidence.

There have been no major changes to the recommendations.
