Palliative cancer care - pain - Management
Muscle spasm: diazepam or baclofen
Age from 16 years onwards
Diazepam tablets: 2mg up to three times a day
Diazepam 2mg tablets
Take one tablet up to three times a day when required to relieve muscle spasm.
Supply 21 tablets.
Diazepam tablets: 5mg up to three times a day
Diazepam 5mg tablets
Take one tablet up to three times a day when required to relieve muscle spasm.
Supply 21 tablets.
Baclofen tablets: 10-20mg three times a day
Baclofen 10mg tablets
Take one tablet three times a day. If necessary, after three days increase the dose to two tablets three times a day.
Supply 84 tablets.
