  • To recognize suspected rheumatoid arthritis (RA)
  • To make an accurate assessment of someone with RA
  • To refer all people with suspected RA to a specialist for diagnosis, treatment, and follow up
  • To give appropriate treatment for a flare of RA in primary care
  • To provide appropriate advice and support to people with RA
