Threadworm - Management
How do I confirm the diagnosis?
- Intense itching in the perianal area, especially at night, is suggestive of threadworm. However, infestation is frequently asymptomatic.
- Adult worms may be seen in the perianal area (usually at night).
- If the diagnosis is uncertain, use the adhesive tape test.
